ABOUT SNV

An Indian lamination company built to make your motor the best in its class.

SNV Stamping Solutions Pvt Ltd was founded in Bengaluru in 2025 by two engineers from the automotive and electrical industries, with one belief: the stator and rotor laminations India's motor makers depend on should be made in India, to world standards, by people who understand the motor and not only the drawing.

We supply laminations for EV traction, PMSM/BLDC, induction and prototype motors from a brand-new 220-ton Yadon high-speed press line, and we work with motor designers on steel grade, sheet thickness, joining method and lamination design so the finished motor reaches the efficiency its designer imagined.

Laminations for Every Motor, Chosen for Your Motor

New to the subject? Start with our plain-language explainer: What are motor laminations? – definition, purpose, types, materials and sheet thickness.

High-Speed Stamping for Motor Laminations

SNV's own 220 ton Yadon high-speed press line at our Bengaluru plant

220-Ton Yadon High-Speed Press Line

Our own complete stamping line at Machohalli, Bengaluru (Bangalore) – decoiler, straightener, Yaskawa servo feeder and a 220-ton high-speed press – built for high-volume stator and rotor laminations in CRNO silicon steel and CRCA. The progressive dies on this line punch, auto-stack and auto-skew the laminations in a single pass, so stator and rotor cores leave the press as finished stacks, ready for the next process. We make motor laminations for customers across India, including EV hub and mid-drive motors, BLDC motors, ceiling and PTW fans and mixer grinders.

  • 120–400strokes / min
  • 0.2–1.0 mmstrip thickness
  • 400 mmmax strip width

In-Die Auto Stacking, Auto Skewing & Independent Stack Heights

Our progressive tooling does more than punch electrical steel laminations. Stacking, skewing and stack-height control all happen inside the die at press speed. That removes manual handling, keeps every stator and rotor core consistent and lowers your cost per motor core.

In-Die Auto Stacking

Laminations are interlocked inside the die as they are punched and come off the press as finished stator and rotor stacks. No manual counting or stacking, tight stack-height control, accurate slot alignment and fewer handling marks – cores go straight to winding, welding or your rotor die casting.

Auto Skewing of Rotor Cores

The rotor station indexes every lamination by a set angle, so the rotor stack comes out of the die with the specified skew already built in. A skewed rotor lowers cogging torque, magnetic noise and vibration – without a skew fixture or an extra operation.

Separate Cams for Rotor & Stator

Independent cams control stack separation for the rotor and for the stator, so rotor and stator cores of different stack heights are produced in the same run. Changing a stack height is a setting change, not a new tool – ideal for motor families with several power ratings.

High-Volume Progressive Tooling

Dedicated progressive tooling for high-volume mixer grinder, table fan and pedestal fan motor stator and rotor laminations – the economical route when your volumes are high.

Servo Feeding & Quick Die Change

Yaskawa servo feeding holds pitch accuracy on 0.2–1.0 mm strip up to 400 mm wide, and the quick die change system keeps changeovers short, so both small and large batches run economically.

Secondary Operations In-House

A 40-ton Paramount hydraulic press for secondary pressing of rotors and stators, CNC rotor-shaft turning on an Ace Super Jobber 500 LM and in-house die maintenance – fewer suppliers for you to manage.

Stator & Rotor Laminations for Every Kind of Motor

SNV Stamping Solutions Pvt Ltd is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer of stator and rotor laminations, welded motor cores and rotor shafts, located at Machohalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Our 220-ton Yadon high-speed press line with Yaskawa servo feeding stamps electrical steel and CRCA from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm thick and up to 400 mm wide, for motor makers and OEMs across South India and the rest of the country.

Electrical steel we stamp: For motor laminations we use CRNO (cold-rolled non-oriented) silicon steel, also called CRNGO electrical steel, in grades from 50C1300 to 50C330 or an equivalent grade, chosen to suit each customer's efficiency, core-loss and cost requirement. Low-loss grades such as 50C330 and 50C400 suit BLDC, EV and high-efficiency industrial motors, while grades up to 50C1300 give an economical option for mixer grinder, fan and pump motors. Where the design calls for it, we also stamp CRCA to IS 513.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sheet thickness and strip width can SNV stamp?

Our 220-ton Yadon high-speed press line with Yaskawa servo feeding handles strip from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm thick and up to 400 mm wide, at 120–400 strokes per minute.

Do you make stator and rotor prototypes?

Yes. We supply stator and rotor prototypes for new motor designs so you can validate performance before moving to volume production.

Which industries do you supply motor laminations to?

Home-appliance motors (mixer grinders and fans), automotive and EV motors (traction, starter and door motors), industrial and robotics motors, drone and defence motors, and irrigation, pump and solar-pump motors.

Can you supply welded cores and rotor shafts as well as loose laminations?

Yes. We weld stacked laminations into stator and rotor cores and machine rotor shafts in-house on a CNC turning centre, so more of your motor core comes from one plant.

Is SNV Stamping Solutions ISO certified, and where is the plant?

We are ISO 9001:2015 certified. Our plant is at #42/2, Machohalli, Dasanapura Hobli, Bengaluru North Taluk, Bengaluru – 560091, Karnataka, and we supply customers across India.

What is a motor lamination?

A motor lamination is a thin sheet of electrical steel, usually 0.20 to 0.65 mm thick, cut to the shape of the stator or rotor. Stacked and joined, the sheets form the motor core. Laminating the core stops eddy currents, which cuts heat and loss. Read our full explainer: What are motor laminations?

What electrical steel grades do you use for motor laminations?

We stamp CRNO (CRNGO) silicon steel in grades from 50C1300 to 50C330, or an equivalent grade, chosen to match your motor efficiency and cost target. Low-loss grades such as 50C330 and 50C400 suit BLDC, EV and industrial motors; higher-loss grades up to 50C1300 are economical for mixer grinder, fan and pump motors. CRCA to IS 513 is also available.
