EV motor stator manufacturer and EV motor rotor manufacturer in India. SNV Stamping Solutions stamps hub motor stator and hub motor rotor laminations, mid-drive motor laminations and electric scooter motor and three-wheeler traction motor stator and rotor laminations in thin-gauge silicon steel, at our plant in Bengaluru.
Electric two- and three-wheelers use two main motor types: hub motors built into the wheel, and mid-drive motors mounted on the frame. Both are BLDC or PMSM machines, and both depend on precise stator and rotor laminations for efficiency, heat and noise. SNV Stamping Solutions stamps EV motor laminations to your drawing at our plant in Bengaluru, India.
Hub motor laminations
Most hub motors use an outer-rotor design: a slotted stator lamination sits inside, and the magnets sit on a rotating outer ring. We stamp hub motor stator laminations with many slots and fine teeth, and stack them in the die into cores ready for winding.
Mid-drive motor laminations
Mid-drive motors usually use an inner-rotor design with an interior permanent magnet (IPM) rotor. We stamp the stator lamination and the rotor lamination with its magnet pockets, and can skew the rotor stack in the die to reduce cogging.
Material and tolerances
EV motors run at high frequency, so lamination thickness and steel grade matter. We stamp CRNO electrical steel from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm thick, up to 400 mm strip width, in the grade your design calls for. Progressive tooling keeps slot geometry, burr and flatness consistent from the first lamination to the last.
From prototype to production
We make prototype laminations for new EV motor designs, then move to progressive tooling on our 220-ton high-speed press line for production volumes. Rotor shafts can be CNC turned in-house to match the rotor cores. See our capabilities.
Frequently asked questions
Do you make hub motor stator laminations?
Yes. We stamp outer-rotor hub motor stator laminations to the customer drawing and supply them as stacked or welded cores.
Do you make rotor laminations for mid-drive EV motors?
Yes, including IPM rotor laminations with magnet pockets, with in-die skewing where the design needs it.
What lamination thickness can you supply for EV motors?
Any thickness from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm in CRNO electrical steel, in the grade your motor design specifies.
Can you make EV motor lamination prototypes?
Yes. We make prototype stator and rotor laminations for new motor designs before production tooling.
